Click to print
”Recycled seitan burgers” are an excellent way to use leftovers. You can use any type of saetan, flavored, or loaf. The amount of water needed varies greatly depending on the moisture content of the saetan.

1 c. cooked seitan, chopped, then ground in a food grinder
1/4 c. vital wheat gluten
1/4 c. water
This is a basic formula. Increase according to amount of seitan you have. Spices can also be added if the seitan you are using is bland. Mix in a dough mixer or bread machine 12 – 15 minutes. Regrind the mixture and make into burgers, bake at 450’ on a lightly oiled or sprayed sheet tray for 15 minutes each side.
